Harvey Danger - Flagpole Sitta
Off their debut album, Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone?, released in 1997.
"Weird Al" Yankovic used the chorus of the song in his polka medley, "Polka Power!", in his 1999 album, Running with Scissors.
Stabbing Westward - Shame
Off their second album, Wither Blister Burn & Peel, released in 1996.
They came up with the name while working at the college radio station.
“Since we went to Western Illinois University, Stabbing Westward had a certain 'kill everybody in the school' vibe to it! The school's way out in farm country and the country is really close minded. We hated that town.”
Weezer - Say It Ain't So
Off their self-titled debut album, Weezer (also known as The Blue Album,) released in 1994.
In 2008, Rolling Stone ranked "Say It Ain't So" #72 on "The 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time." Pitchfork Media included the song at number 10 on their Top 200 Tracks of the 90s
