A CEO Gets a Three Million Dollar Bonus And Divides It Up Between 10,000 Workers

When the boss of the company you work for gets a bonus, do you ever just want to storm into his office and demand a portion of the bonus for your hard work that got him that bonus? Join the club!
Meet one of the coolest CEO’s in the world, Yang Yuanqing. He is the CEO of Lenovo, a computer and technology company with headquarters in China. This past May he received a $3 Million bonus based on their performance last year. Now I know he’s got a tough job being the CEO, but it’s also the hard work of the employees that got them their increase in performance. Yang knows that and decided to take the bonus and split it between 10,000 of their junior-level employees.
Those employees were the assistants, receptionists, people on the production line, those that work their asses off to push out the product! Divided by all the employees they each got $314, which is darn close to their average monthly salary.
Yang by the way earned around $14 Million last year, so while he had plenty of money to spare, parting with $3 Million isn’t that easy. To compare, if you were making $100,000 the bonus would have been $21,000, not easy to just hand over. But damn, well worth it for the hard working employees!! All CEO’s should take note of Yang!!
