Alter Bridge Taking A Break So Members Can Work With Creed

Scott Phillips, drummer for Alter Bridge, has confirmed that they will take 2012 off so that some members can return to Creed.
Bassist Brian Marshall and Guitarist Mark Tremonti along with Scott will work on a new Creed album and a Tour. Meanwhile Singer Myles Kennedy will get back to work with Slash for his second solo album where Myles will do all the vocals.
“We’ve got a few more weeks on this tour, then we’ll recharge for bit before heading to Europe for some shows . . . Myles is working with Slash next year, while we’ll be working with Creed next year. Then we’ll have some tours, and then come back as Alter Bridge. Look to 2013 for new material.”
Mark has compaired the crows for both bands, saying,
“The crowds are very, very similar. From the Alter Bridge crowds to the Creed crowds, the Creed crowd is much more — you could walk through it without getting hurt, you know? It’s a much more tame crowd, I would say. I mean, when the show’s going and we’re rocking, they’re very into the show, but it’s a respectable, sing-song kind of crowd.”
Alter Bridge is currently finishing up the Carnival Of Madness tour, it ends this Saturday in Missouri.
