Every Town Should Have An “Anger Room”!
My mom used to say that people from the south – especially people from Texas – are about 3-5 years behind the rest of us.
Obviously, that’s not fair – nor is it accurate, in today’s world where anyone, anywhere, is just a click away from all; current events, news, scores, updates, etc. And actually, the folks in Texas came up with one heck of an idea. The Anger Room.
Simply put, The Anger Room is a place you go to work out your frustrations.
According to the Dallas Observer, The Anger Room, located in a Dallas strip mall, has rooms full of things like TV’s, office furniture, and glassware, for people to smash!
That’s right – you get to BREAK STUFF!
Customers choose how much time they want to spend in a room, and pay accordingly. For example, the quick, five-minute “I Need A Break” session is only $25. The 15 minute “Lash Out” session costs $45, and the 25 minute “Total Demolition” package goes for $75.
Another cool thing – the customers get to listen to any music they want, while they are smashing their room. They are outfitted with protective goggles and hard hats, and can purchase a videotape of the experience. They are even allowed to bring their own baseball bats, golf clubs, etc., to do their smashing with.
And don’t just think that this is some testosterone driven fad.
The founder of the business is a 30 year old woman, and 60% of her clients are women.
I wonder if my gal has a bunch of anger built up inside?
Maybe that’s why she always acts like she wants to kick my ass….
