As much as I can’t imagine Pantera onstage without Dimebag Darrell, I would love to see Phil Anselmo and the boys mend their open wounds.  It’s too bad that it took such a tragedy like Dimes death to get Phil to open up and apologize for the s**t he was talking when Pantera ended their reign and Damageplan was started.  I think because of that is why Vinnie Paul is so ambivalent about a Pantera reunion and why he still is pissed at Anselmo.

Phil recently talked with a sister station of REV in Grand Rapids (WGRD), and talked of a potential reunion and his feelings on Zakk Wylde playing for Dimebag.  Phil said,

If anything like that would ever possibly happen Vince and I would have to sit in the same room, hash out whatever differences that we have, and as far as Zakk Wylde goes, I am not too sold on that ’cause we have to hash some crap out too. That day has not come yet, and until that day comes, I can comment further on that, but till then it is just talk. It would be rough not to see Dimebag on stage to my left, I would feel naked.

Vinnie Paul recently said that if the band were to come together once again, Zakk Wylde would be the only man who can fill the spot of “Dimebag” Darrell.

I mean, [Zakk] and my brother were so tight, if [a Pantera reunion] ever were to happen, [Zakk] would be the guy [to step in for Dimebag].

I would love it if they all can get their problems ironed out and get together for a reunion.  If that happens we will report it to you first.

Death is a subject that many people don’t like to talk about.  It is something that scares many of us, and is really something that nobody in this world knows anything about.

And you can’t choose how you go out.  When your time is up, your time is up.

But if you COULD choose what you could be doing for your last few minutes on earth, I bet there are quite a few of us that would be doing something, regarding females.  Maybe a nice lap dance would be the perfect send off.

That’s what 67-year old Robert Gene White must have been thinking.

The Texas man went into his favorite strip club, The Red Parrot, for a little entertainment.

Apparently though, White suffered a heart attack some time during a lap dance that was being given to him.  After three songs, the stripper got off of him to collect her pay, and realized that he was completely unresponsive.  Thinking he was drunk, she called her manager.  He arrived and administered CPR to White, but it was too late.

I don’t like to think about death, and I’ve certainly never been jealous of a dead guy before.  But if I could choose how, and when, I was going to exit this life – getting a lap dance from a beautiful, naked, woman – would definitely be in the conversation!

I’ve had my crazy psycho chick moments in the past over men who have cheated on me, but I never went this far. Granted I was never married to begin with, and probably why I will be single for life. This guy will never be able to show his face again in Duluth. Everyone in the nation now knows what a tool he is. You want to see a woman pissed? Mess with her life and ruin in. While she will recover from the pain and embarrassment this has caused her and her family, this guy will have these images stuck with him for life!

It’s been two weeks since the news broke that Adam Yauch, MCA, of the Beastie Boys died at the age of 47. This week the New York State Senate honored MCA.

It’s not every day that people get recognized for the good things they did. Adam grew up in Brooklyn Heights, and the State Senator from that area, Daniel Squadron, introduced a resolution recognizing his contributions to music and political activism. You can read the whole resolution HERE.

Here’s an excerpt from the resolution:

“Whereas, the music and message of the Beastie Boys evolved over the years, but they can’t, they don’t, they won’t stop changing the face of hip-hop, of music, and of our culture . . . And whereas, the Beastie Boys exemplified New York through a period in which grassroots creativity and a community of iconoclastic artists helped redefine and rejuvenate a city on the ropes . . . Now, therefore, be it resolved, that this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to mourn the death of famed rapper and activist Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch.”

The resolution passed, and a copy will be sent to MCA’s wife and daughter. What a great way to remember someone who did so much for others, music, and those that didn’t have the guts to step up. May your creativity and activism live on through others that looked up to you Adam. Fight for your right!

That has to be the most horrifying question ever in the mind of a man, other than Is it in?. It’s a lose, lose situation. You tell the truth and she’s pissed. You lie and she’s pissed because she knows you’re lying.

In a survey, 82% of women say that when they ask if something makes their butt look big, they want their significant other to be honest. If you’re open and honest with your chick and she appreciates that, then be honest. Especially if you are shopping with her. If the outfit doesn’t look good on her, don’t let her waste “her” money on something she probably won’t wear. It will hang in the closet with the tags on until she finally gives it away.

As a lady myself, I know when I look horrible in an outfit, I don’t need someone’s second opinion. Half the time I think it’s the woman wanting you, her man, to give her a compliment. If you were tell her shes beautiful more often, you probably wouldn’t have to worry about answering the “Does this make me look fat” question. When I’m sitting on the fence on an outfit, yes, it does help to have a second opinion from someone who will be honest no matter if it’s a yes or no answer.

If she get’s pissed at you for saying, yes babe, that outfit does make you look fat, remind her that you are not calling her fat, just the outfit doesn’t hit the right parts of her body in a flattering way. I don’t expect you to know what that mean, but she will! The skinniest women can look like a whale in certain outfits. Not every article of clothing is meant to fit every shape on a woman. That’s why shopping takes us forever. It has to fit right, look right, and fit the budget.

So be honest if it does make her look fat. Even if you end up sleeping on the couch, it will be worth it when she realizes she has a man that will be honest no matter what!

P.S. The woman in the picture must not have anyone that will be honest with her. Shes gotta take a picture of herself in a new outfit and post it online. Don’t let your chick be this chick. Not cool!

The Twins bats were hot in Detroit last night and got them 11 runs and 14 hits.  This tied them for their second highest output for the season.  This is the kind of performance we haven’t seen enough of this year and something we need to see more of.

Blackburn got the start on the mound but only lasted two innings.  He came into the game 0-5 with a 7.71 ERA in eight career games at Comerica Park.  Blackburn gave up five singles, one walk and a sac fly in the bottom of the second to put the Tigers up 6-5.

Ryan Doumit also singled, Jamey Carroll doubled and Brian Dozier hit a three-run homer.  Trevor Plouffe also added insurance with a two-run homer in the ninth.  Detroit was void of defense and had four errors on the night.

The Twins are now 11-26 and take on the Tigers in Detroit this afternoon at 12:05, with the pre-game on WJON at 11:40.

My mom used to say that people from the south – especially people from Texas – are about 3-5 years behind the rest of us.

Obviously, that’s not fair – nor is it accurate, in today’s world where anyone, anywhere, is just a click away from all; current events, news, scores, updates, etc.  And actually, the folks in Texas came up with one heck of an idea.  The Anger Room.

Simply put, The Anger Room is a place you go to work out your frustrations.

According to the Dallas Observer, The Anger Room, located in a Dallas strip mall, has rooms full of things like TV’s, office furniture, and glassware, for people to smash!

That’s right – you get to BREAK STUFF!

Customers choose how much time they want to spend in a room, and pay accordingly.  For example, the quick, five-minute “I Need A Break” session is only $25.  The 15 minute “Lash Out” session costs $45, and the 25 minute “Total Demolition” package goes for $75.

Another cool thing – the customers get to listen to any music they want, while they are smashing their room.  They are outfitted with protective goggles and hard hats, and can purchase a videotape of the experience.  They are even allowed to bring their own baseball bats, golf clubs, etc., to do their smashing with.

And don’t just think that this is some testosterone driven fad.

The founder of the business is a 30 year old woman, and 60% of her clients are women.

I wonder if my gal has a bunch of anger built up inside?

Whenever I hear of Megadeth in the news I still think of Dave Mustaine being a former member of Metallica.  I bet whenever he hears of Metallica doing something big he thinks the same thing.  I mean Megadeth has had a great run and sold a ton of records worldwide, but that pales in comparison to his former band Metallica.  I’m pretty sure he is a bit jealous of his former band and I don’t blame him.

Mustaine recently reunited with his former mates and played with them, after which he made a comment that came back to bite him in the ass.  He was suggesting that their were plans in the works for a Metallica-Megadeth supergroup, which was completely false.  Not that it would be the worst thing in the world if the two joined forces, but c’mom Dave, why would you say that without it being true?  Jealousy, that’s my thought.

Mr. Mustaine issued this statement apologizing for the comment,

I probably shouldn’t have said stuff like that. I guess some people may think I’m trying to use that as a way to get publicity. So I can see where there would be some feelings about it. That wasn’t my intention. I won’t ever mention it again. I like James and I thought what he said was flattering, then it kind of went the opposite way, then it kind of came back again. I guess my whole thing was, I just wanted them to know that I loved them and I missed them, and I enjoyed playing with them. If that’s not mutual, then I understand. I still respect him and I still care about the guy.

That statement is a great cover-up for what I believe was just a publicity thing.  He went on to say that he wasn’t trying to imply anything was going to happen, rather he just was wishing it would.

Dave had a two decade feud with Metallica before finally clearing the air over that last couple years.  I don’t think the statements he made will do anything positive for their future relationship.

I kid you not, I walked in an hour later and you would think there was a struggle and a murder took place. No one is in sight, but chairs are tipped over, there are potato chips and other crap all over the place and I swear there was blood on the floor. Ok fine, so maybe it was jell-O, but still seemed kind of weird. I’m standing there thinking, “What the hell has gone on in here?! Did people just sit around the table like it was a trough, tear into the bags with their mouths and rip them apart like wild animals?”

So after their ritual or whatever the hell it was, every bag and container is empty but of course they are still on the table. I must be crazy to think that they would throw something away if it was empty.

Did I end up cleaning everything up and throwing stuff away? Hell no I didn’t. After I took one look at the place, I backed out the room and said, “Screw this sh*t.”

There are a ton of guys out there who claim to have no shame in their game, but Wisconsin resident Bill Wisth takes the cake… or should we say all-you-can-eat fish fry. The 6’6,” 350 lbs. mountain of a man claims he had 12 pieces of fried fish before a supposedly “all you can eat” seafood restaurant — ‘Chuck’s Place’ — tried to persuade him to leave with an additional eight pieces to go.

Mr. Wisth was so upset by the restaurant’s “false advertising” that he’s dedicated most of his time to picketing outside the eatery, which claims they literally ran out of fish on the busy Friday night he was served.

According to Chuck’s, the now-banned fried fish lover has been a thorn in their side, accumulating a tab he hasn’t paid off yet. A tab? For food? This guy’s like Norm from ‘Cheers.’ This could be the most classic case of biting the hands that feeds you we’ve ever seen.

We have a feeling the folks at Long John Silver’s and Red Lobster are rubbing their flippers and/or claws together at the opportunity to satisfy Mr. Wisth’s voracious appetite.

Of course, Mr. Wisth reminds us of another hungry man who was turned away from an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet.

These kids are total rock stars!! A group of little boys re-made the Beastie Boys “Sabotage” video. Totally kicks the Nirvana “Breed” air drum video to the curb!

The kids are decked out with a wig, mustache, and attire as the original. They do more kids things in the video versus adult activities, but still pretty awesome! If I have kids, I want them to be as cool as these! This video by the way, is probably the best MCA tribute I have seen.

Here is another perfect example of how crazy women ruin it for the rest of us not as crazy women.

On Sunday night, 22-year-old Clifton went over to see his 20-year-old girlfriend, Paige. She is the mother of his two young songs. Sunday, as you know, was Mother’s Day. Clifton went to Wal-Mart and picked up some flowers and a card. Apparently, that wasn’t good enough for Paige.

Paige wanted a more expensive gift and threw a huge fit! A massive fight broke out and she grabs a knife and stabbed him!!! The stab wounds were so bad, Clifton actually died because of it!!

Thankfully the young sons were sleeping through the whole thing and are now staying with relatives. I hope this chick never sees her kids again! Paige, by the way, was arrested and charged with First-Degree felony murder.

How many of you didn’t do anything for the mother of your kids on Sunday? Hopefully you at least got her a card! Just be glad Paige isn’t your chick, and be happy with the woman who accepts pop tarts for breakfast in bed, a card, and a hug to say Happy Mother’s Day.

The Twins roller coaster season continues as they lose to the Indians last night 5-4 at Target Field.  This season is frustrating to watch.  One day they win and the next three they lose, but the nice thing is that you can buy good tickets cheaper these days.

Shin Soo Choo hit an RBI single in the 9th inning off Matt Capps to score the go-ahead run.  The Twins had tied the game in the bottom of the 8th scoring three runs.  Ryan Doumit hit a 2-run homerun and Josh Willingham had a RBI double in the 8th.  Carl Pavano threw 6 innings with 4 earned runs.

The Twins are at a disappointing 10-25 and will host Cleveland again today at 12:10, pregame on WJON at 11:40.  Righthander Jason Marquis (2-2) gets the start for the Twins and righthander Derek Lowe (5-1) starts for the Indians.

If it’s true that in space no one can hear you scream, it’s especially true for the star of P.O.D.‘s new video for ‘Lost in Forever (Scream).’

The veteran band returns after several years away with their latest single, and the Spence Nicholson-directed video finds them relegated to the desert-like climate of a foreign planet. While the group performs their new single, they are joined by an astronaut wandering the terrain in search of signs of life.

While on his mission, he comes across the likeness of his onetime love in a small red nighty, but every time he gets close, she disappears and he gets further lost in his memories of the past, mirroring the lyrics of the song. After several near misses, the astronaut finally catches up to his love, but is her existence real or merely in his mind? It’s up to the fatigued explorer to figure it out.

‘Lost in Forever (Scream)’ is the new single from the band’s ‘Murdered Love’ album. The disc drops July 10 and is currently available for pre-order in multiple bundle packages at their website. ‘Murdered Love’ sees the band reuniting with their ‘Satellite’ producer Howard Benson, and recapturing some of the sound that catapulted their career last decade.

The group return to the road May 16 in Milwaukee, with shows lined up through early August. After that, they’ll join the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival in mid-August and will finish out their year on the ShipRocked Cruise in late November.
