Five Finger Death Punch Say Playing for the Troops is an Honor [VIDEO]

Five Finger Death Punch has been touring like crazy and crushing skulls everywhere they go for the past couple years, but to them playing for the troops is a real honor and humbling. After a recent trip to the Middle East where the band performed for U.S. troops at several military bases across Kuwait, singer Ivan Moody said in an interview of the experience:
What a stellar way to start the spring. Playing for the troops is always an honor and seriously humbling. Can’t say enough about the experience — everyone was so respectful and warm. I hope we helped morale and it was a privilege to give back to those that give so much for us.
Ivan also said that bringing music to American soldiers stationed far from home is is something he takes very seriously:
They’re just so grateful, and so many of them are just sitting around right now and just want to come home and be with their family and friends, so just to sit there and have that connection with them, man — it made this whole year, whatever happens, you know, down the road or whatever’s happened in the past, it made it all worthwhile.
This is one thing I think people need to remember, our troops are fighting for us and not against us. If it was not for our military NONE of us would have the rights we have today. As a radio DJ I appreciate all they do for us without question. I wouldn’t be able to say what I say if it were not for them fighting for us. Thank a soldier the next time you see one.
Five Finger Death Punch is currently on tour and will be hitting Cadott, WI in July as part of Rock Fest 2012. Find complete details on the festival at REV Concert Calendar. Listen to REV everyday for your chance at winning tickets too!!
