Foo Fighters Tease New Album

Foo Fighters have launched a “teaser” website for the band’s upcoming seventh studio album, featuring a clip of the set’s opening track, “Bridge Burning.” The yet-to-be-titled disc will be out this spring. In conjunction with its arrival will also be the theatrical release of a full-length documentary that will chronicle the entire history of Foo Fighters, from the cassette demos frontman Dave Grohl recorded while still Nirvana’s drummer to their growth into one of the biggest rock bands on the planet. The film will include an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the making of the new album.
Grohl has said in recent interviews that the follow-up to 2007′s Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace will be the heaviest Foo Fighters effort yet. It was recorded at a home studio in Grohl’s garage with producer Butch Vig.
Grohl and Vig last worked together 20 years ago when Vig produced Nirvana’s legendary Nevermind album.
Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic makes an appearance on the album, while former Nirvana and occasional Foo Fighters touring guitarist Pat Smear has now permanently joined the Foos lineup.
Foo Fighters have announced a number of festival dates in support of the record, with full touring plans yet to be unveiled.
