Gas, Food and Booze, St. Cloud Liquor to Open Soon
ST. CLOUD — You’ll soon be able to fill up your tank and grab a case of beer at the same spot on Clearwater Road in St. Cloud.
St. Cloud Liquor, connected to the Stop-N-Go convenience store, is expected to open before Memorial Day weekend.
Manager Bhavik Patel says regular Stop-N-Go customers encouraged owner, Pintu Patel to open the liquor store.
“It’s just going to be a local liquor store that will accommodate our nearby neighborhoods.”
Beer, wine, spirits, drink mixes and tobacco products will be offered at St. Cloud Liquor. Bhavik says they also have plans to incorporate local products on their shelves.
“We’re trying to get a [variety] of Minnesota wine. Also we’re trying to dedicate some cooler space for a Minnesota craft beer [section].”
Naming the business, Bhavik says has been the easiest part of getting the store off the ground. He says he was surprised no one had taken the name “St. Cloud Liquor” yet and the name just clicked with him.
“It made more sense to go with that because whenever someone really wants to search something, they type in the name of the city along with what they want to get. That’s how we came up with St. Cloud Liquor.”
St. Cloud Liquor is expected to open next Thursday. The store’s hours will be Monday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Hours will change July 2 to include being open on Sundays 11:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m.
