How to Defeat Your St. Paddy’s Day Hangover
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today is the 4th biggest day in the United States for alcohol consumption, and if you are going out to drink tonight you are going to want some tips to feel better tomorrow morning!
1. Drink fluids that are not alcohol! – When out tonight drink water between your other drinks to avoid getting dehydrated. If you wake up tomorrow feeling awful, drink coconut water or Gatorade, they will hydrate you and restore the electrolytes you lost!
2. Multi-vitamins are unsung heroes. – It isn’t all dehydration. Drinking causes inflammation and increases the production of “free-radicals” in your body. Taking a multi-vitamin or drinking some pomegranate juice before you go out tonight can really impact how you feel tomorrow morning!
3. Clear alcohols are not just for rich women on diets. – Ron Burgundy from NBC’s Parks and Recreation once said that “Clear alcohols are for rich women on diets” but it isn’t true. Clear alcohol is for people who don’t want to feel like garbage the next morning. They have fewer toxins which means a more productive Saturday for you!
4. Dance the night away! – Dancing, or just being distracted in general, can keep you from immediately ordering drink after drink. Plus it is a great excuse to skip the gym! It shouldn’t be hard to find great music to dance to tonight!
