LaMarr Woodley Is Paying for Everyone in His High School to Play Sports

It’s not often I talk about sports, but what LaMarr Woodley is doing for his former High School, I gotta give this man props!
LaMarr Woodley is a 27-year-old linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last year, he signed a six-year contract extension that will pay him $61.5 million. Needless to say, he’s making stupid money. But, he’s not spending it on stupid things.
LaMarr played at Saginaw High School in Michigan nine years ago, but his old school has been dealing with some budget problems. They voted to have parents pay for thier kids to be in sports. Which to some may be no big deal because you’ve already been paying for your kids to play or you had to pay when you were a kid yourself. Either way, that means that any students who want to play sports had to pay a $75 athletics fee. It’s the first time the school has charged student athletes to participate.
That’s a lot of money when you think of it, especially if you have more than one kid in more than one sport. But When LaMarr found out about it, he decided to write a check to take care of the whole problem.
LaMarr is paying the $75 fee for everyone who wants to play sports this year. The school says it’ll run him about $60,000, which is really no big deal for him. And as much I dislike the Steelers, I love it when people give back! Way to go LaMarr! Others need to follow your lead on paying it forward!
