Making Rock Radio History, Halestorm; Checking in From the Road [VIDEO]

Whether you end up winning tickets to Rock Fest or buying them, you will see a band out in Cadott that has made rock radio history. Halestorm is the first female-fronted rock band to ever hit #1 on the Active Rock radio chart. The song that broke through all the stinky, sweaty male-fronted bands was their latest single “Love Bites (So Do I),” the first to come off their recently released sophomore album, The Strange Case Of . . . .
In a recent interview, singer and guitarist Lzzy Hale said how she came up with the song title:
The line ‘love bites, so do I,’ I’ve had forever. I ended up tweeting it at one point in time to a fan and she’s like, ‘Oh, that’s great, I’m gonna put that in my notebook’ — something. I don’t know, it’s really interesting, it’s a little snotty, which of course I enjoy doing. It’s a little bit of a smirk.
The Strange Case Of . . . , sold 24,000 copies in its first week and debuted at Number 15 on the Billboard charts last month. The album is the follows up to Halestorm’s 2009′s self-titled debut, which has sold almost 300,000 copies since it’s release.
Halestorm is currently opening up for Godsmack and Staind on the Mass Chaos tour, which wraps up next Wednesday. Halestorm will then play a series of festivals (including Rock Fest), and then embark on their own headlining tour.
