Metallica’s James Hetfield Inducted Into Hall Of Fame…[VIDEO]

His High School Hall of Fame!! HA! Tricked you!
Metallica frontman James Hetfield was inducted into his His High School Hall of Fame last week. James attended Downey High School in California during his freshman and sophomore years. Small towns love it when they can claim “ownership” of a celebrity. Works great for Homecoming time. Yea, well we had James Hetfield attend this school for two years, now look at him, what do you have?
Even though James said he hated high school and that he didn’t fit in, he was still taken aback by the gesture. “Yes, I did have to show up in classes and get credits and things just to make it through, but I really did not feel like I identified with anyone. To be back here, being included in the Hall Of Fame, is completely surreal.”
How many of us can identify with this, feeling like the school misfit, the loner. “This is a testament to the people in the ‘misfit’ category, they are able to apply themselves and achieve their dreams.” Hard work pays off.
After High School is over, does it really matter if we were the popular kid and got to sit at the cool table? Nope, its all about what we make of ourselves after.
