Metallica’s Secret Project Revealed: Collaboration Album With Lou Reed

Rumors of a new project from Metallica has been around for awhile now. The “secret” Metallica project has finally been revealed.
The band posted a statement on their website yesterday announcing a full length album collaboration with Lou Reed.
“Ever since we had the pleasure of performing with Lou at the 25th anniversary of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at Madison Square Garden in October of 2009, we have been kicking around the idea of making a record together.”
They recorded ten songs, and at this moment we are not exactly sure when we will hear it; but, the recording sessions wrapped up last week. Check out the full statement here.
