Minneapolis Liquor Store Hit With 30-Day Suspension + $2,000 Dollar Fine For Selling Booze on Sundays Early
When it was announced that Governor Mark Dayton signed the bill to allow liquor stores to sell on Sundays in Minnesota, a loooooooooooooooot of people we’re happy. But one liquor store in Minneapolis was so pumped, that they decided to start hooking Minnesotans up with the chance to buy booze waaaaaaaay earlier then expected.
Surdyk’s were mostly like, “screw it on waiting until July, we are going to start selling now!” But now because of that, they are taking some pretty hard heat from people. From what I read on WJON, Surdyk’s will be fined $2,000 bucks ANNNND they will have to close their store completely during the month of July when the bill goes into affect. Which really, really, REALLY SUCKS because that is going to hurt them badly as a business. Though I have to applaud them for having the balls to start selling booze early.
