Oakland Tagged Out at Target Field; Lose 3-2 to the Twins

The Twins had a great game yesterday and showed fans that a comeback is possible. They have a chance to sweep the Oakland A’s this afternoon and will need the help from their big hitters like Josh Willingham, who had a great day yesterday.
Willingham hit a walk-off 3-run homerun in the bottom of the 9th inning to make the game 3-2 and get the win. Justin Morneau and Ben Revere each had 2 hits for the Twins. Cole DeVries threw 5 shutout innings with 2 hits and 5 walks allowed. Glen Perkins threw a scoreless 9th inning to get the win and improve to 1-1.
The Twins are now 17-32 and will go for the sweep of the A’s at Target Field at 12:10 this afternoon, with the pregame on WJON at 11:40.
Lefthander Francisco Liriano (0-5) gets the start for the Twins and righthander Tyson Ross (2-5) starts for the A’s.
