Pavano Gets Pulled in the Fourth; Twins Lose 6-2 to the Angels

I had such high hopes for the Twins in this three-game series against the Angels, I really thought this could the the turnaround series for them. I’m not exactly sure why I thought that, I guess maybe delusion is starting to set in. After breaking their three-game losing streak and taking game two against the Angels I figured the Twins could get the series win. Nope!
Carl Pavano was on the mound for the Twins last night and threw just 4 innings with 10 hits and 4 earned runs allowed to get the loss and falls to 2-3 on the season. Ervin Santana earned his first win for the Angels throwing 7 1/3 innings with 6 hits and 2 earned runs allowed.
Mike Trout was 3-5 with 2 RBIs for the Angels. Josh Willingham was 2-4 with a solo homerun for the Twins and Drew Butera was 2-3 for Minnesota.
The Twins are now at a pathetic 8-22 on the year and will host Toronto begining a 4-game series at Target Field tonight at 7:10, with the pregame on WJON at 6:40.
Right-hander Jason Marquis (2-1) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and right-hander Henderson Alvarez (2-2) takes the mound for the Blue Jays.
