It’s the REV 96.7 ROCKTAGON Brought to you by The Red Carpet Nightclub! Every Monday night at 8pm, TY will play two songs that will battle all week in the ROCKTAGON. You be the judge and vote for your favorite song below. Voting begins Mondays at 8pm and will continue thought the week until the following Monday at 5pm. The week’s winner till take on a new contender every Monday. After four weeks of consecutive wins the song will be inducted into the ROCTAGON Hall of Fame. It’s the REV 96.7 ROCKTAGON!
Contender 1: Hellyeah
Hellyeah is an American heavy metal supergroup, consisting of Mudvayne vocalist Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett, Nothingface guitarist Tom Maxwell, Damageplan bassist Bob Zilla, and former Pantera and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul. Their third album, entitled Band of Brothers. The album, the band’s first effort for their new label home, Eleven Seven Music, was recorded in Dallas at drummer Vinnie Paul’s home studio, VP’s Upstairs Studio, and was produced by the band and Jeremy Parker (Godsmack, Evanessence), who also served as engineer.
Contender 2: Call Me No One
Call Me No One (sometimes abbreviate as CMN1) is a hard rock band founded by Sevendust members Clint Lowery and Morgan Rose. The band entered the studio on January 22, 2012 to begin recording their debut album Last Parade, to be released on June 5, 2012 via 7 Bros. Records (through a partnership with Asylum). The band recently released their first single "Biggest Fan" on various websites with a radio release planned for April. A spring and summer tour is also in the works. Lowery explained the sound of the band as “a lot different from Sevendust. It’s hard but it’s not the same type of heavy that Sevendust is...”.
