Should Minnesota Lower The Legal Drinking Age to 18? [POLL]

If you haven’t heard about the new proposal to lower the drinking age in Minnesota, then dude you GOTTA get out more! Almost everyone in the whole state is talking about this.

Now this new proposal basically states that anybody over the age of 18 to 21 can drink in a bar or restaurant under supervision of the general public. Though they can be cut off at any time by the bartender or waitress. If your thinking about buying alcohol off-site, yeeeeeah your still going to need to be 21 for that.

Now a lot, and I mean a loooooooooooot of people are not liking this idea, including Minnesota Governor Dayton, stating,

I think we are better off staying where we are. I haven’t talked to any of the legislators about it, I don’t have an etched-in-concrete position, but this debate has been going on appropriately for many years now, and the middle ground comes down to: It should be 21, where it is now.

Now I personally think that if someone the age of 18-20 years old goes out with their parents to a bar or restaurant and the parents give the ok for them to have ONE drink, it’s all good. I mean hell, that’s what me and my folks did. Now if they are out with their friends… that changes things… no one wants to see or hear a sloppy drunk where ever they are. Also if I had to wait until I was 21 to buy booze at a bar then everyone should have to wait! Unless… you can prove that you are responsible enough to not be a moron when you drink.
