Should Prostitution Be Legalized? [POLL]

I think this is a no-brainier! Prostitution is one of the oldest professions in history and could bring in some serious money on a state and national level. Sure there are some drawbacks like disease, crime, pleasure, but who cares, those are all around us anyway. If you look at Nevada (who has legal prostitution), they have strict rules and regulations that go with the brothels. All ladies must get tested every month and must be free of diseases. There are probably more rules than that, but to me that would be the most important. I would think you may even see crime go down if it was legalalized. There would be no more pimp beating up chicks for their cut of the profits, no more rapes (since you could just buy it) and a lot of smiley faces.
The reason I bring this up is because last week in Ontario, Canada they found that the nation’s laws governing prostitution were unconstitutional. The Canadian parliament now has a year to amend the criminal code and the final result could be a fairly broad legalization of prostitution by our neighbor to the north. NICE!
