Soundgarden Release Tour Dates
Upon leaving Stone Temple Pilot’s gig at Roy Wilkins Auditorium last August, my good friend Rick and I made a standing promise that if Soundgarden gets to the twin cities, we’d be there.
Nearly a year later, we’ve gone through the entire Chris Cornell gauntlet of rumours, sightings, scattered appearances, possible reunion with album/tour to follow, etc.
Now the good news is that Soundgarden has scheduled tour dates: a whopping four of them in July, with the usual “more dates to be announced soon” thrown in for good measure.
“Soon” is a bit of an abstract term in the Cornell Universe: the band’s last live show was in Hawaii in 1997.
Anyway, here are the announced dates:
- 7/2/11 Toronto, ON @ Molson Canadian Amphitheatre
- 7/13/11 Philadelphia, PA @ Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing
- 7/18/11 Denver, CO @ Red Rocks Amphitheatre
- 7/22/11 Los Angeles, CA @ The Forum
