Staind Gives You The Chance To Play Guitar On Their New Single, Not Again

Think you got what it takes to rock like Staind? Well the band is teaming with Indaba Music and Ultimate-Guitar.com for a new contest in which fans can submit their own guitar solos for “Not Again.”
Fans can submit their solos for consideration through the Indaba website. The deadline for the contest is August 10th at 8p.m. You can also listen to all the solos and will have until August 17th to vote for their favorites.
A grand prize winner will be chosen by the members of Staind and unveiled on the record’s release date, September 13th.
A version of “Not Again” with the winning guitarist’s solo on it will appear as a bonus track on the album at iTunes. The winner will also receive a $1000 gift certificate to Guitar Center, a Mike Mushok signature model PRS guitar and a signed copy of the new album. 10 runners-up will get a signed copy of the CD.
Here is Mike explaining the contest:
The self-titled new album is Staind’s first studio effort in three years, but singer Aaron Lewis said that it wasn’t an easy record to make:
“I’m usually pretty good about, you know, not wearing my stress on my sleeve at all, and this was a very stressful record. We videotaped the entire thing, like everything, and we really, we captured all of it. And you’ll be able to see for yourself as to how stress manifests itself in the creative process.”
This is the first Staind album done without founding drummer Jon Wysocki, who exited in May. Staind recently enlisted Evanescence drummer Will Hunt to fill in on some festival shows but has yet to announce a permanent new drummer.
