The mother of late Alice in Chains singer Layne Staley is taking legal action against her son's former bandmates, claiming they've not made good on royalties owed on the band's music.
Fans lucky enough to attend last night's taping of ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' were treated to an outdoor gig by Alice in Chains. The televised portion of the show aired AIC's performance of their current single 'Stone' off their upcoming album 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here.' However, the band also rocked out their classic track 'Man in the Box' and their new album's first single, 'Hollow,' with the video of both posted on the official 'Kimmel' website. As Alice in Chains' newest album, 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here,' creeps closer and closer, anticipation for the record's release has been growing towards a peak. Although 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here' won't see the light of day until May 28, Alice in Chains have unleashed the new single 'Stone' to help you through the wait.
Alice in Chains have unveiled the official release date, cover art and track listing for their fifth studio album, 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here.' The new Alice in Chains disc will become available on May 28 (not May 14, as previously reported), and guitarist Jerry Cantrell has offered some interesting insight on the concept behind the disc's name and its title track.
Alice in Chains had a little fun yesterday (Feb. 13), asking fans to unscramble a collection of letters that once deciphered would reveal their album title, and the fans could then post their suggested titles to Instagram. But how many people actually came up with 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here'?

As excitement for Alice in Chains' 2013 as-yet-untitled album continues to build, fans have been gifted with more good news from the band. Alice in Chains have just announced a month-long U.S. tour beginning in Miami Beach, Fla., on April 25.
Alice in Chains have returned with new music and acclaimed director Roboshobo is helping them bring some imagery to their latest single, 'Hollow.' The band just debuted the official video for the song, focusing on the gradual deterioration of an isolated scientist's mental state (watch below).
