Foo Fighter Release New Record And Dave Talks About It [VIDEO]

Yesterday was a big day for Foo fans all over, as the band released their highly anticipated seventh album called "Wasting Light"  The Foo also performed on SNL this past Saturday.  You can check out the video below and more on the recording process for the new album.

When I read this I got a bit of the chills.  Nirvana's Nevermind record was one of my favorites of all time and one that had a part in forming my love for music.  It was a breakthrough album that change the landscape of music forever, and subsequently played a role in the suicide of Kurt Cobain.  Here the interview MTV News did with Butch.

The Foo Fighters have been one of my favorite bands for a long time, and this is one of many reasons why.  Dave Grohl is one of the most down to earth dudes I have never met.  Although I have had opportunities to meet him I never did, but form what friends tell me and what I see he is a cool cat.  I love the way he is so passionate about his music and what he does.  What band these days takes the time and effort to record an album using analog equipment?  Not many is that answer to that trick question.  I cannot wait to hear the new album.  Here is what NME.com reported on their site.

Foo Fighters Stripping Down For New Record

Fans of the Foo Fighters can expect a no frills, back to basic record from the Foo Fighters in 2011, and I for one am excited!  Dave Grohl says in the interview below, that he even got Butch Vig (producer of Nirvana's Nevermind) to record the new Foo.  Dave explained that they brought old analog equipment into his garage at hsi house to get that raw sound they were looking for on this next record.  Check out the interview from FMQB.com.
