Seether Gets Top Rock Track of 2011 with Country Song [POLL]

ust this past week Shaun Morgan of Seether was saying he may have to pack away his rock gear and retire from music.  Not that I see that really happening, but he feels the rock scene is disappearing and thinks that could be the end of his long music career.  Maybe the fact that their song Country Song is voted top rock track of 2011 his tune will change.

Seether Has Number One Song, Frontman Spews

It looks like Seether's take on a country song has taken off and sits atop the rock radio charts.  Seether's new song "Country Song," is a hit but last year frontman and chief songwriter Shaun Morgan wasn't even sure if he could write anymore. Morgan told Pulse Of Radio that it was even suggested that he get outside songwriting help, which he refused to do:

Recently Booted Seether Guitarist Finds New Gig

It's funny how things come full circle.  It was only last month that Troy McLawhorn left Seether and now he is in Evanescence.  The funny thing about this is that he was already in Evanescence but left in 2007 to join Seether.  It gets even more complicated too.  Seether frontman Shaun Morgan dated Amy Lee of Evanescence back in 2003 but had a horrible public break-up in 2005.  Suffice it to say Shaun Morgan is pissed!  Here is what he tweeted about Troy re-joining Evanescence,

Seether Guitarist Leaves The Band

Former Seether guitarist Troy McLawhorn says he did not want to leave the band, but was forced to quit because of "personal friction" with one of the other members.  I can only assume the "friction" was between him and singer Shaun Morgan.  If it wasn't I would think the "friction" would work itself out.  But if you have a beef with the lead man you're done.  McLawhorn exited the band earlier this month, reportedly to "pursue other interests," with Seether issuing a statement that said,
