Trent Reznor to Compose Theme Song to the New Call Of Duty [VIDEO]

I am not a huge gamer but do get into the Call Of Duty games. I will go is streaks where I get into the game and can’t stop for a month, then I will put it down and not play for six months. Call Of Duty is a game that will definitely get me playing and Black Ops was one of my favorites. So to incorporate my favorite game with one of my favorite lead singers (Trent Reznor), makes the wait that much more tough.
According to USA Today, Reznor took this project very seriously, he approached it as if it were a movie soundtrack. He said,
What I learned in listening to the full story and the amount of effort that has gone into the back story and the characters and the full preparation there is a lot of reservation and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface. So it didn’t make sense to have a gung ho, patriotic feeling theme song. It has to feel weighty. There is a lot of remorse and apprehension here. So choosing to arrange it a bit more with guitars and drums and aggressively sounding, that struck a tone with them.
You can get your hands on the new Call Of Duty: Black Ops II on November 12. Get more info and pre-order at here.
