Twins Come From Behind to Beat the Reds 4-3

Josh Willingham hit a 2-run homer on Sunday to propel the Twins to a victory over the Reds. The Twins were down 3-2 in the 9th until the 2-run homer from Willingham. Trevor Plouffe also had a solo homerun and “Mr. Minnesota” Joe Mauer was 2-4 with a run scored. Scott Diamond threw 8 innings with 8 hits and 3 earned runs. Diamond gets the win and is now 6-3. Jared Burton threw a scoreless 9th inning to get the save for the Twins.
The Twinkies are now 29-42 and will host the Chicago White Sox tonight in game one of a three-game series. Tonight’s game will start a 7-game homestand for the Twins. Tonight’s game is at 7:10 with the pregame on WJON at 6:40.
Francisco Liriano (1-7) gets the start for the Twins and Jake Peavy (6-3) starts for the White SUX.
