Twins Get Swept by Oakland; Lose 9-4 Yesterday

The Twins got smoked yesterday afternoon at Target Field by the A’s from Oaktown. Brian Duensing threw 2 innings with 7 hits and 6 earned runs allowed to get the loss. Ryan Doumit was 2-4 with a run scored and 1 RBI. Brian Dozier was 2-4 with 1 RBI but just wasn’t enough, as Oakland had the hot bats and hit 4 dingers. Yoenis Cespedes was the man for the A’s, he went 4-5 with a homerun and 3 RBIs.
With yesterdays loss the Twins fall to 36-52 and are now 13 games back of the White SUX for first place. The Twinkies host Baltimore tonight to start a 4-game series, game time is 7:10 with the pregame on WJON at 6:40.
Scott Diamond (7-3) gets the start for the Twins and Chris Tillman (1-0) starts for Baltimore.
