Twins Miss the Tag, Lose 6-4 to Boston

It’s great when the Twinkies can win a series, but it’s even better when it’s the Red Sox that get the loss. Just like the Chicago White Sox I despise the Boston Red Sox. Do you think this has anything to do with teams with sox in their name? Maybe I have deep issues that stem from some sort of tragic event that happened with socks when I was young? I think there are too many issues to start trying to figure that out, so let’s talk baseball instead.
In yesterday’s loss to the Red Sox, Nick Blackburn allowed 9 hits and 4 earned runs in 5 innings to get the loss. For Boston Franklin Morales allowed 3 hits and 1 earned run in 6 innings to get the win. Ryan Doumit hit a 2-run dinger and Josh Willingham hit a solo home run. Ben Revere extended his hitting streak to 19 games by going 1-3 with 1 RBI.
The Twins are now 47-61 and will play at Cleveland tonight beginning a 3-game series at 6:05 with the pregame on WJON at 5:35.
Scott Diamond (9-5) gets the start for the Twins and Zach McAllister (4-3) starts for the Indians.
