“We Love You Paul” One Year Later [Video]

A full year has gone past since Slipknot bassist Paul Gray was found dead in his hotel room in Iowa. A medical examiner ruled that he died of an accidental overdose of morphine and fentany (a synthetic form of morphine.)
Drummer Joey Jordison posted this message for Paul on his facebook page.
“Paul, you always told it like it was. You’re the same guy that wouldn’t let me stay home on New Year’s Eve back in 1992, and once drove over in four feet of snow during a storm, just to hang out! There was no one like you. That’s why you were my best friend.
All the music that we’ve done together, all the times that we’ve shared, will live on forever. I miss you each and every day.
All right Balls, I’ll see you on stage! Let’s destroy.
There will never be another # 2. I love you.”
Paul was one of the founding members of Slipknot, and after losing him has left the band’s future in limbo. Drummer Joey Jordison and percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan have indicated that the band will continue. Singer Corey Taylor though has expressed more uncertainty. The group will tour Europe this summer as a tribute to Gray, with former guitarist Donnie Steele on bass.
