Wild Eating Pucks & Getting Healthy; face Nashville Tonight [VIDEO]

Just for the record the Wild are not actually eating pucks, just thought a catchy title was necessary for the image above.
It seems forever since the Wild were atop the NHL with the most points and best record. Sadly that was just a few months ago.
Since their rise to the top the Wild have been plagued with injury. The team holds the NHL record for most players called up from their farm league. At one point over 33 players had been called up since the start of the season. Luckily our farm team happens to be Houston, the team Mike Yeo coached to a Championship just last year. Unfortunately the chemistry between the Wild and the Aeros (from Houston), hasn’t been the best. This has resulted in a terrible skid over the past two months with the Wild only winning something like 4 out of their last 18 games. As the called up players continue to get playing time, things should start to get better as the players are more comfortable with the style/level of play that the Wild players are at.
To make things even better the Wild should be expecting a few players back here shortly. Guillaume Latendresse is close to returning and can’t happen soon enough. He has been out with a concussion but is skating now with the team and could return soon. Mikko Koivu (separated shoulder), has also been skating but isn’t expected to return as soon as Latendresse. Unfortunately Pierre-Marc Bouchard is still out with concussion-like symptoms. This has plagues him for that past couple years and is unfortunate for the Wild. Bouchard is a key player and deeply missed in the line-up.
The Wild will host Nashville at 7pm tonight, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:35. The Wild are 24-18-7 and with 55 points are in 8th place in the Western Conference Standings. For a full details on tonight’s game and a preview, check out Wild.com
